The Stonehaven neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina was established in the 1950s but really took hold in the 1960's. The area's dominant architectural style is the ranch style house with brick or wood exterior. Stonehaven is the epitome of suburban Charlotte – designed for the comfort of families with classic brick ranch homes, split-levels and the occasional two-story along winding, tree-lined streets.
Stonehaven is located near Uptown Charlotte and within 5 minutes of Cotswold Shopping Center and 10 minutes of SouthPark Mall. The tree lined streets, large well-manicured lawns and carefully tended homes make Stonehaven one of the most pleasing neighborhoods in the city.
Stonehaven's reputation is about the sense of community that its residents feel toward their neighbors and neighborhood. There is no formal HOA governing residents but there is a community website and association to join if you want. Stonehaven is famous for its community activities to include the 4th of July parade. Here, people wave, dog walkers stop to chat, we bring casseroles to our neighbors and we watch out for each other. Or the Stonehaven Fall Festival, Rollin’ 5K Run/Bike/Walk/Fun Run and other charitable activities.
